Our Impactful Projects

Discover how we’re fostering change, empowerment, and self-reliance through our community initiatives since 2001.

Our Three Pillars

Change

It strengthens the unity of the Tamil community by connecting diaspora Tamils with those in the homeland, fostering a sense of Tamil identity and encouraging social participation among them.

Empowerment

Puthiya Velicham empowers war-affected Tamil communities by building confidence, leadership, and self-reliance through education, training, and emotional support. It inspires the belief: “I am capable.”

Self-Reliance

Since 2017, Puthiya Velicham has conducted 40+ organic farming workshops across Sri Lanka’s North and Hill Country. These efforts promote self-reliance by encouraging families to grow their own food.
